Categories for 2011

I'm proud to announce the Categories for 2011 are:

Returning Categories

General Standardbred Horse Racing (Independent)
Handicapping (Industry)
New Blog
General Thoroughbred Horse Racing (Industry)
General Thoroughbred Horse Racing (independent)

You'll notice that Online Magazine is not back this year along with the Arabian blog category. The reason is that both of the finalists last year where reorganized into something that will now fit into other categories. To answer a couple of questions that might come up Horse Racing Nation is being considered Industry as I believe several of those who founded the site work in the industry. What does this mean? ZATT (Zipse at the Track) will now be competing against the likes of DRF, Bloodhorse, TT and others.

New Catagories

Industry Tweeter- the tweeter can be either a owner, trainer, jockey, writer (must work for an industry magazine and/or newspaper), announcer, farm, and even a horse! At least 65% of the tweets must be about horse racing.

Fan Tweeter- those who are eligible for the Independent Blogs category are eligible for here. At least, 65% of the tweets must be about horse racing.

Podcasts- Since there several podcasts out there, I thought it would be a good time to create a category for it. This is for the show, not specifically the hosts.
